Question about the Canon GL-1

hi, im looking into buying a canon gl-1 camera

but the firewire ins and outs are broken on the camera, so i was wondering if their is a differnt way to upload videos to your computer other than firewire

you do not wnt to buy a gl1..or even a gl2...you need firewire for good editing programs.
 
ya, i'd stay away from it.I have a GL2 and the firewire was blown and they had to replace the whole main board which set me back $250
 
its old. as fuck. much better, cheaper alternatives now. HD is the new thing. unless your paying 10 dollars for it id say NO
 
id say do some reasearch on that. i am not too sure on the price range, but the gl1 is NOT a good idea
