Question about Quiver killers

So I got a pair of skis predrilled and quiver killed with some marker baron frames. I also have the same size frame.

Am I good to just take the frame off one ski, that was mounted for my boot, and put the bindings on the new skis without adjusting anything?

basically I just want to be able to take the binding off one ski, and put them on another without having to adjust anything else like forward pressure.

Since they are frames I imagine it shouldn’t change anything but you never know

Your first issue is frames. But you should be fine. Talk to a shop and they may or may not have some insight.

They are going on some hellbents so really don’t need low stack height. plus I already got frames, and didn’t wanna buy/drill more holes into them.

They also had a tele insert put in which is pretty badass to tele on bents.

yeah youre good to do that.

Are you going to QK your Hellbents too? If you arent going to tour on them, just buy some Attacks for $150. If you are going to tour on them, it will probably be a similar amount to QKs to buy a used shift or a cheap pin. Frames suck.

Shits are worse.

Not worse than frames my dude. The cheapest, lightest frame bindings still weight 500 grams MORE than a shift. The uphill is a NIGHTMARE on frames, as the entire binding has to come up off the ski as opposed to just your heel. The Stack height on the uphill sucks, but not as much as the stack height on the downhill sucks. The bindings are even more fiddly than shifts, and they are clunky and in my experience break just as often if not more often than shifts. And although shifts prerelease on a downhill, most of the time its an adjustment problem.

Il be the first guy to shit on Shifts. I have had my fair share of prereleases, and sold mine as soon as I could afford CAST. However, If I had a novelty ski that I only skied on pow days and sometimes in the backcountry, and I was short on cash, or needed a MNC binding and freetour 2.0 wasnt a thing, I would get shifts or even daymakers (which honestly might be a good option for muffMan). Sayings shifts are worse than frames is just plain ignorant. Shifts suck, but frames suck more.

I promise you. Bring 2 pairs of skis to a trailhead. Do lap 1 on frames. Do lap 2 on shifts. Do lap 3 on pins. Night and day for all 3.

The tech adapters really are slick for someone who wants to do basic touring or a few inbound laps. I was impressed with the upgrades.

if I knew I’d do super light tours I’d rock the techs over shifts/pt’s.

anything semi intense I’d want the shift/pt but like you I’d wait for the cast over them all.

waiting for some new 2.0 kits so I can throw a set in the ghost trains.

Hellbents are already QK, they got 8 inserts each ski so avoiding remounts for now.

I really don’t mind frames, been using them with reckoners for the last 2 years

Earn your turns, 194 length too so we’ll see. I just really wanted to ride hellbents, mostly inbound riding too

I got some skis with base pivots, if I’m tryin to go cast in a few years do I need a remount for it? Or can I use the same holes.

Sounds like you’ve done/looked into upgrading like that.

Same holes. Just need to add two new ones for the brake retainers and risers.
