question about ptex

Anyone know of anything more efficient than just lighting ptex on fire and letting it drip because u either get a shitload of carbon in it or u have to let it drip forever before the carbon burns off.

im pretty sure you can put it in glue guns but i've never tried it b4

you have to hold it really close to the ski and keep the flame as small as possible. i usually do two coats too, especially for big gouges. basically, just keep the flame small, only blue flame and no orange cause that's where the carbon comes from

It would be a good idea to hold your file close to the flame to prevent that.

you can also drip it onto the ski with an iron, as if you're waxing

flames burn at too low of a temperature to efficiently melt the ptex. try using a blow torch to melt the ptex

^^ you must have a crazy powerful iron. it has the power to melt the bases of your skis
