Question About oakley outerware

I bought an evo jacket from last year schich has the magnets on it, and the tag says to keep them away form electrial devices and credit cards. So does this mean I souldn't put credit cards and mp3 players in my pockets? seems kinda dumb.

you need a pretty strong magnet to whip the stuff, but just to be safe just don't put electronics right up against the magnets, even though I don't even think theyre strong enough to clear anything let alone an mp3 player/card

Ya dude it's fine. They put that stuff on there so that if someone's iPod fucks up while it's in the jacket, they can't be blamed for it.

it's like when you put a magnet next to a computer screen it screws up all the colors on the screen... they don't want to be liable if it messes up electronic devices or i guess credit cards

Of course it will. Credit cards have a magstripe on the back that has certain information in it that the computer reads when you swipe it. The magnet can ruin the credit card's data if it is close enough. All of the data on the credit card will be erased by a split second exposure.

And with mp3 players or ipods, magnets WILL harm hard drives and memory on the units. So i would just be safe and keep them in a location far away from magnetic areas

With some electronics a split second will ruin the device
