Question about marijuana

if u go to sleep still a little high, do you wake up the next day still feeling a little high for a while?

R.E.M. Rapid Eye Movement

It's a state of sleep where you eyes are literally rapidly moving and you're totally zonked out and into deep sleep mode. You're body needs this state of sleep in order to properly recharge during sleep. Ever notice that most of the time when you go to sleep high, you dont dream?

When I go to sleep high, I"m just extra groggy and slow for the first couple hours or so. (weed hangover) nothing a cup of coffee or energy drink can't cure though.

i always smoke before bed and i used to wake up kinda high, but know i just wake up and feel like mad rested.

yea im just like feeling really tired/lazyish and light headed right now and it happend to me before the last time i did it too so i was just curious

For sure. But I enjoy the feeling of being MAD tired right before bedtime, go to bed super early a little baked, and wake up nice and refreshed. I always wake up earlier the morning after a nice toking session, too. Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise!

Agreed.

If you want to feel high when you wake up, there is an easy solution..

It's called Wake-'N-Bake.

not at all. different bodies react to it in completly different ways, process and break down THC at different speeds, bind to brain receptors better or stronger or very little. I would imagine that itd be possible to have thc still effecting you the next morning

i usually still dream, but isnt dreaming part of rem? so i dont think thats legit.

but yeah ive gone to bed and woken up high, its like my body didnt process out the weed when i was sleeping

when i go to bed a little bit high i wake up extra-tired and my tolerance to more marijuana is greatly reduced which is where the whole wake n bake concept comes from. if i go to bed very high i dont remember anything when i wake up and i am very dazed and tired and usually still baked as shit.

i always dream when i go to sleep baked and have sweet ass dreams

when i wake up though i feel a little baked at first but i think it's because the last thing i remember was being ripped. i don't think i'm actually high when i wake up

i've been wicked baked and slept multiple times, but the one that left me still baked for work at 7am was a time i was drinking and smoking at a concert the night before. other then that, i've smoked many bowls then slept and woke up like any normal day.

Maybe if you sleep for all of like 4 hours. I've never woken up high. And the argument about no going into deep sleep is bullshit. If weed kept you in the lesser level of sleep you would dream, and those are the dreams you usually remember. Deep sleep involves no dreams or highly bizarre ones that you cannot recall very well.

I have the most wild and extravagent dreams when I'm high. Its an undescribable euphoria.

and I smoke mostly by myself before going to bed. I have horrible insomnia (2 hours of sleep a night) and weed really helps that.

I'm fairly sure that when you go to bed excessively tired (a common feeling if you go to bed high...) then you enter deep sleep for longer, and you experience less REM (the good sleep, the kind that makes you feel refreshed and rebuilt) sleep. Its fun to go to sleep high, but you might actually be losing some REM sleep from it. Regardless... i could be completely wrong and if you feel awake in the morning and you're not waking up at 3pm everyday then i wouldn't worry about it.

the only time i ever woke up baked, was when i had eaten a massive amount of brownies.... i passed out, and when i woke up hours later i was still bakin like crazy.

Damn you serious? Fuck...well I might aswell start on heroin and meth now, anyone know where I can get some cause I know this site is full of stoners...Anyways I should actually just kill myself cause I'd rather be dead than have severe brain damage, lung cancer, heart disease, short term memory loss, and obesity...See ya guys it was fun...

Bahahaha and I'm really hoping you're joking...

geez i love these kind of people.
thats great that you dont smoke weed and all that and im happy for you cuz i know what can happen if someone smokes too much, but dont try to impose it on others, i happen to think it fits quite nicely into my life every week or so (a lot more in the summer tho), maybe less, and have you ever fucked someone while baked? i'd highly recommend it.

anyways im not hating on you, just saying that you shouldnt try to change or judge others based on whether or not they smoke.

I've noticed that smoking marijuana relates to my dreamtime eperiences- or lack thereof. When I first suspected that ganja smoking was either preventing dreams or clouding my memory of them, I conducted a few experinets. For three seperate three-day periods, I fasted from ganja smoking. Each night of these trials, i dreamt most of the night and was ablt to remember and even gain insights from some of my dreams. When I returned to mosking, my dreams were either greatly diminished or completely absent. I could only remember snippets at best, and those memories quickly faded after waking up. I have since leanred that I"m not alone in experiencing this side effect of marijuana, studies have shown that THC alters brain chemicals involved in sleep as well as brain wave patterns, which, in SOME people, can suppress REM sleep and therefore dreams. Dreams are a very special tie when I believe, the soul leave the body to regenerate. WE learn many important lessons and insights into our life in dreamtime space. For this reason, I highly recommend devoting a few days a month to not smoking.

Hydroxy tryptaphan, 5-HTP, is a sleep-enhancing agent that compensates for the reduction in serotonin leves caused by cannabis use so you can enter deeo REM sleep normally. (Smokers generally have their most lucid dreams in the morning, during the last few hours of sleep, as opposed to the middle of the night as would normally be the case.) 5-HTP is a naturally derived amino acid available in pill form at most health food stores. Mugwort is an herb that also has beneficial effects on dreams when smoked. This herb helps many people restore their dreams even without giving up marijuana. B-complex vitamins can also prove beneficial, though it is not yet understood why.

going to bed high is almost as good as having sex. i used to do it every night utill i got busted, and after that it was so hard for me to fall asleep...

I was trying to convince myself not to smoke tonight and then I clicked this thread. It was a bad idea.

If i am allowed to stay in bed until i feel like i got the best sleep ever, but if i'm woken up, i feel out of it for a while. A shower usually shakes me out of it though.

i have never personally woken up high but ive woken up feeling kinda burnt out. i definitely feel different. i believe you could still be high..

just get twisted, play some beerpong and smoke some, sleep like 4 hours and youll be fucked till like 2 the next day

You don't dream during REM, you dream during NREM. REM is your deepest sleep, on either side of REM is NREM. Your body gets a ton of work done during REM but there are no dreams.

Anyways, smoking makes going to bed easier for me.

depends on how much you smoke...if you smoked like one bowl before bed you wont feel anything in the morning except satisfaction. if you smoke like 2 grams to yourself you might feel dazed the next day

AHAHAHAH!!!!!!! greatest post about weed ever!

You forgot that by buying marijuana, you support terrorism, and you are responsible for the deaths of our soldiers overseas as a result.

thats pretty weird actually because wenever i go to sleep after getting high i ALWAYS have dreams, and theyre always about smoking. a few nights ago i had a dream i was L riding with my friends and then later we got some more and saw snoop dogg sitting on the sidewalk and we picked him up and did it some more with him too
