Im looking to buy some bindings for my pow skis and im looking at some of the pivots. Im wondering if they are a pain in the ass if they come off to put back on.

I have a pair of older fks's that are getting pretty warn out and loose and the one problem the heel piece will rotate out put itself in a position where you need to bend down readjust. but it's really not that big of a deal

what's your height/weight? How aggressively do you ski?

That info aside... I've skied Pivots and PX's in pow. I personally prefer the PX's for the reason you mentioned. They feel more solid on variable terrain. I've got a pair of px15's on my pow skis now and they're awesome. I use the Pivots for my park ski. Also, the full drive toe vs the all metal toe makes a difference too... i prefer the all metal, it feels way better/stronger.

i feel like pivots would be better suited for park, personally for pow planks i'd personally go marker jesters or salomon sth14/16 driver (16 is more metal, 14 is more plastic)

i also have px bindings on a pair of park skis, and maybe it's because they're super worn out, but they are a real pain in the ass to put on in deeper snow, probably just because they're so old, but that's just my perception ....
