Quality of Saga Outerwear

Looking to upgrade from 686 pants to Saga Fatigue 2L bibs. Does anyone know or have these pants and can speak for the quality and durability. I’m getting them for $120 and think it’s a decent deal so i’m not sure if i should wait and they will be even cheaper. Any advice would be amazing. Thanks!

Pretty sure I have the Monarch 3L bibs. I bought them for the 17/18 season for $200 and they're still holding up great after well over 200 days in them. I re-water proofed them recently but that was something I expected to do regardless of the brand.

The sizing is a bit weird but no complaints. I've only had the 3L's tho.

I’m a little over 6 feet but skinny and weigh like 135. Think I should go with a large?

I have monarch bibs and shell, bought 50% off during their sale period (unreal deal). So far they've been doing well. The bibs are probably not as waterproofed as advertised but if you're like me (in Co) it doesn't matter. I haven't been easy on my clothing and it has held up well, I haven't ripped anything and I've skiied through a few trees. I have also toured a fair amount in my bibs and they haven't had any issues. I also have a saga workwear jacket and that has had no issues as well. I think with saga you don't get absolutely top notch quality but in my experience very few people actually need that quality so I really like the brand, also I got a full 3 layer set for like ~$300.....

What month was the sale period?

I have a 3L suit and have zero complaints. Bibs are awesome and have zero signs of wear and I have worn them everyday I have been on snow.

Been wearing the monarch bibs nearly everyday the last couple months and hold up really well. One button for the top of the pit zips fell off right fron the package which sucked but is unimportant in the bigger picture. Have held up perfectly since then.

I really, really hate to say it, but Saga is the worst quality gear I have ever used. I have a 3L shell jacket and two different pairs of pants. Within 20 days the jacket pocket/zipper stitching came out and became a mess. I warrantied the jacket which was a huge pain in the ass. BOTH PAIRS of pants had all the stitching in the crotch separate. I had to have them repaired at a tailor. Both hand pockets in one of the pairs of pants developed holes. One of the snaps on the back pocket of the pants fell off. All of the rubber zipper pull tabs on the jacket have pulled off.

Honestly, it is ridiculous. It seems like the gear is the absolute cheapest possible Chinese made stuff. Like low end Wal-Mart quality. Admittedly I ski a lot, and I do love the fit and style, and want to support companies like Saga, but all of this happened with under 30 days on the gear.

Have had three suits and have enjoyed all of them. Have had no durability issues (I do take care of my shit though) Currently been on the monarch jacket pant for like 4-5 seasons now
