Is it just me or do those bindings have the heel that can turn? Didn't look stop making that? I loved that heel, I was so pissed when they stopped.

Well it is the p18, not the px18. The racestocks still maintain the turntable heel.

Why did they stop putting the turnable heel on most of their bindings anyway? I actually still had one with a turnable heel until last year but I finally had to give it up when I broke it.

my race stock p 18's just came in........... they have the turn table heel and a wide brake----

Turtable heels have only been available on race stock bindings for a long time. However, they did quit making the pivot heel recently.

I've heard a few things, but one of the more important reasons was to increase forward pressure and gain a tighter connection, and to eliminate the play with the pin that holds the pivot heel in place (it gets more and more play in it the more it is used). Yea, there might be other reasons, but those are ones I have heard numerous times.

yea my p12 jibs are so bad i have to tighten down the forward pressure after each day, sometimes part-way through the day
