Px 12 racing binding?

hey i found some cheap px12 racing bindings on evo. i know this means that there is more metal in the heel, but what about the toe? it just says full drive toe so i don't know. anyone have any idea? also, anyone have any idea how the weight compares with, say, fks 140/pivot 14? I am about 5'9", 135 lbs. all info is appreciated and will be rewarded with...-drumroll please-...+K! and my respect.

hate to double post, but i was also wondering if it would be worth the extra $$ to get some fks/pivot 14s. heard that the toe piece is less durable on the 14s, would this be an issue? and is it worth my money for the turntables? i could try to find some on sale at the end of the year.

You would be getting the lightweight plastic toe in the px12. It is the same toe as the fks 14. All Rossi 15 din and above get the full metal race toe from the fks 18. It's been like this for at least 10 years so your toe piece will most likely have some metal parts inside the plastic housing, and thus a lithe weight binder.

so the only difference between the px12 racing and regular px12 is a bit of metal in the heel? I'll try to find some pics, i checked out evo's outlet, they are selling both, and the racing ones definitely look like they have a beefier heel

It won't be the full drive toe unless it's the PX15. Which happens to be dirt cheap on Evo at the moment, if their sale is still on, for both the Jib and Race ones. The race ones have lifter plates, the Jibs don't. I think you can pay a little more and get the Ti ones, which have a titanium A-frame bit at the back for less weight and extra wank-factor.

yes, what is your preferred DIN setting? Because as myself and others have said, the px15 is stupid cheap for a full metal race toe and beefy heel with a good amount of metal in it, just got a pair in the mail today and liked what i saw. The Din on the 15s are 6-15, i believe the 14s are 4-14 and the 12s are 3-12. if your at a 7 or higher you might as well buy the 15s, yes they're a little heavier but they have a bomber toe that will never break and a good heel piece.

well my boots are a 28.5 so i usually run about a 5, which sounds low, but i have had no problem. (i currently have px10s). thanks for the info on the 15s, i was not aware about that. maybe i should just gain some weight haha
