PVC vs. Metal

I recently made my backyard setup and it works great. Except for the PVC rails. They're so slick that it's barely possible to pedal and spin out of them. Any tips on how to make them a little more like real metal rails or make it easier to spin out of them.

I'm hoping to get more PVC from a construction site today, so we'll see if that one will be better.

Just keep using them, your edges will start to shave down the pvc and make it a little rougher / grippier. I’m the same way, I hate mega slick rails and love a grippier, sticky rail but it’ll make you a better skier honestly.

-Detune your edges underfoot

-Keep hitting the rail, PVC takes a short period to break in.

And the reality is, PVC just feels a little different than metal but as you improve you will be able to switch between both of them effortlessly.

Let's see a picture of your setup!

They might have some UV resistant coating on them you might try sanding the PVC a little bit to remove that glossy sheen.

I’ve never tried this but in my head it seems like it would help

Nice setup! Honestly, your difficulty spinning out of the feature looks like it has more to do with how fast you're going and the fact that the last section is a down. Try spinning it around and hitting it as an up-flat, or even adding another flat section on the end. You're really hitting that fast for a pvc lol.
