Purpose of NSTV?

I get how NSTV would be cool for live stuff and interviews, but why not just upload the comp footage onto NS so it is available for download? this would be especially usefull for those who cant get peercast to work

 
cause it would take up a monstrous amount of space

they have put up comp footage in the past. i remember WSI stuff from last year. they dont have to put up everything, only the highlights.

You can do it, if you try, if not oh well, then do somthing else!

so if they can put up the WSI video, why not the video from the masters? I know every single run in the comp would be too big, but why not just the highlights.
