Purchasing Artwork

I have a lot of empty wall space in my new apartment and I have nothing to cover them with; so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into online art shopping.

I have no intention of buying any original art pieces for loads of money, but more of the prints of some cool pieces.

So I guess my question is: Where online can I find affordable works of art that are for purchase?

Op just go to a thrift store, or salvation army. Chances are they have a pile of old art that you can buy for pennies, some of it will be pretty shitty but you might stumble upon a really cool piece. I recently found this for $5.00

its also an original work and not some shitty print on canvas that you normally find.

Yeah i'm looking in to buying a abstract piece for my room. I might just make a huge splatter paint mural and put it on my wall, with the prices I'm seeing now.

Go to www.juxtapoz.com. They cover a lot of lesser-known artists, but there's a ton of really good stuff in that magazine. Just scroll through articles until you find someone you like, and then you can go from there and see if you can get prints from them.

I'd recommend thrift stores, second hand stores, etc. I found this AWESOME hand drawn trail map of Vail at a second hand store in IL. It was drawn in 1975 and is about the size of a typical painting...idk maybe 2ft tall by 3 ft wide ish. It's fucking sick.

Kaws prints.. whenever he releases them they're actually pretty damn cheap, but sell out in seconds.

i volunteered moving shit at a local church this morning and scored a nice original portrait of jesus and one of those holographic posters and changes pictures depending on how you look at it, also of the man.
