Punch fronts

Just checked out Tech Talk Thursday ep12. That move is DEFINITELY going to be something i wanna be able to do.

But i was wondering how tough this is? It really looks easy, but should i practice fronts flips with ski boots on or anything like that? Cause i don't wanna go halfway and land on my neck...

You wont land on your neck thats for sure. BUT if you underrotate you'll maybe get a nasty shinbang.

Commit and pop as hard as you can forward/upward.

i learned off a tiny jump at my local snowzone, first few times i was landing on my back, but just kept trying and started landing them. just commit.

I ddin't even know thats what they were called. They are cool, and they don't seem to hard, and I can frontflip off the ground, so maybe I can do these.

start your flip a little ways before the lip, cuz after you flip over is when you want to be in the air. The mistake I made when I was learning them was that I would throw the flip basically over the lip and I'd end up landing on my back/backseat. And its easier to learn on small jumps... not that hard yo

you wont land on your neck. if anything, you will land on your back and it really doesnt hurt all that bad. at least for me anyways.

I never made up any names. I never knew the name of this trick anyways. I just saw the video on NS homepage (Video Of the Day). And they call it "punch fronts"...

i feel thats its all about the step to get the pop. you wont land on your neck id say thats near impossible! commint to it, step into it, tuck up and stomp it :D

i did my first one off the nuckle of a rookie kicker its easy and doesnt hurt if you land on your back!

Good Luck man !

yo the way i learned em was i'd put my hands down and do like a somersault off any sort of roller. a very low speed type deal. the only video that has what im talking about in it is this

I'm definitely going to get these, frontflips are real simple, just huck yo'self forward and open up when you see the sky

Ho wmuch speed do i need to do this, if i was going to do it off a roller of a table top would i use the same amount of speed as i would hitting the actual jump or less?
