Pumped for first day of Skiing

I’m about a week away from my first day out and couldn’t be more excited. I’m pushing 40 and nothing has changed, I still can’t sleep the night or nights leading up to skiing cause I’m so anxious. This is the first year in a long time that I will be skiing on new ski’s and bindings (Line Sick Days). I bought my boots end of last season and pants, jacket and goggles pre season. Getting my first day in at the Big K, looking forward to an Outwest Trip for sure. Killington is a 3hr drive and I do mainly day trips now and the ride honestly doesn’t even bother me. Anyone else stoked?

My home mountain is about to be open they've have been making snow like crazy and the weather is constantly 30 or below. I bought a bunch of new gear and I honestly can't wait to just go everyday I can.

Happy for you. I'm so stoked as well, but stuck in NYC for now, don't have any idea when I'll get the chance to ski good mountains again (planning a trip to Verbier though)

Makes me happy to see somebody your age still stoked. I have worried for a long time that my stoke levels will wane as I age and that my body will be entirely broken by the age of 40

Nah I still feel like if I had the time can lap the park a bunch of times if it was spring and condition’s were best for park. My goal is to throw my first backflip by the age of 40. I know I can do it I just have to get the right jump with some soft snow. One thing that may have helped me was I kinda missed the park scene it didn’t start getting popular until I was almost too old to hit consistently. But I beat myself up on bumps and stuff. I have always been in great shape and every year I try to one up my previous year. Its all good man. The stoke is still HIGH

I’m sure there are a bunch of 40 year olds on this site who still crush bumps and ski park from time to time.
