PBA cards are overrated; I flashed two of them when I was stopped and he just said "you're kidding me, right?"
In one of the stupidest moments of my life, I was pulled over for doing 107 in a 50. Ima be honest, I wasn't putting anyone in physical danger (besides myself), as it was some ungodly hour in the early morning, but the legal penalties alone definitely make it not worth it. I ended up retaining legal council, and pleading guilty to a reduced speed. I had to pay a fine and I got points. I took a defensive driving course. I was lucky; hopefully you will be too. My legal fees ended up amounting to around $700, which was what the fines would have been if I hadn't gotten the reduced charge. However, I'm happy to pay it and not have 107 mi/hr on my record.
Sucks man, but he was also doing his job; you can't fault him for that. Its pretty cut-and-dry from his perspective. I had the opportunity to meet my cop a few months after I was pulled over, and it was a really revealing discussion. Cops actually do care about you. They actually want to see kids drive safely. They don't get off by giving teenagers big tickets; it actually makes them pretty upset to be in that position.
Hope it works out for you.
