I'm thinking about getting some public enemies for christmas, they have the sickest graphics of any ski this year, right up there with the scratchs I think. anyway I was wondering if anyone has skied on them and if they know anything good or bad about them? They look awesome though, it's nothing like the enemy based on stats, K2 went with all new shape with a rounder tip and tail. Also what is the ABS sidewall construction? Is it like the 30 degree sidewall construction of the scratchs? All I know is these skis look sick and any info about them would be very helpful.

 
Hey man, the ski is the shit for sure. The sidewalls are actually vertical with thicker edges. The idea is that weight is distributed up and down, not at an angle where your edge can bust out easier. Edges are thicker obviously for added durability. The site explaining everything will be up hopefully later this week. As of now, it offers a 3-D movie image of the plank. (k2factoryteam.com) Tail is way high, equal to tip stylee, an improvement from the old Enemy. An they are wider than the old skis, making them more versatile all around and good for stomping shit. Try them out if a friend gets them or demo if ya can. Good luck.

 
Yeah I hear they are bad ass. The side wall construction is accually an old and was there before they came out with cap skiis. I hear that the pins in the tips and tails look like 45 shell casings. They should be a much more solid ski in the pipe compaired to the old enemies.

 
ok. I The sidewalls are making a comeback. Because they work. They transfer power much better than a cap consrtuction ski, and are torsionally much stiffer. This is why race skis are made this way. and for the public enemies, go over to getboards.com and pick um up for 350. Thats an incredible ski for an incredible price. And the things on the tips not only look cool as hell, but should dramatically help with delamination. They were origionally not on them, but they were on the seth pistols, and it was a good idea, so they put um on the production models. I might try to pick a pair up, but i am just to poor.

The rumor is that K2 is going to start shipping on dec 1st and they should start getting to the shops around the 15th. Hopefully this is true cause i ordered a pair and i want them NOW!!!

 
I spoke to Felix at D-Structure and he said they expect towards the end of this week.
