Ptex problem

Okay i just got some ptex for my invaders and for somereason it drips clear but it has like chunks of burned black stuff in it i havn't put it on my skis yet. what am i doing wrong?
 
Its carbon from it burning theres not a good way to avoid it that I know of.... May be the flame your using is to hot (I doubt it) Maybe try letting the candle burn a little? also hold it relativly close to the base.
 
i let it burn for a bit and held it close to the carboard peice and far and no matter what it would come out a brownish colour
 
don't use matches or regular lighters, unless you experiment alot. Jet type torches/lighters work well. Ones that shoot out like a jet all blue flames
