haha fuck that shit. no fun i did terrible on the math i know it, the rest wasn't bad. and i guess the SAT is like twice that. fuckkkk.

how'd everyone else do?
 
i did pretttty bad.

the time was tight and i didnt finish all the sections. so much easier than NECAPS though id say

especially haveing those 3 days in a row for 3hours30minutes each day they SUCKED

i wonder how much harder the legit SATs will be. im not ready for that shit
 
taking them on saturday. i took them last year tho and did ok i guess. except on the open ended math part where i was stuck on this problem for like 10 minutes, lost track of time, and then the lady was like oh yeah times up and i was like shiiiittt cuz i missed the last like 5 questions.
 
well it wasnt to bad cheated on most of it...... well english part was sort of easy.... math was almost all guessing you know the "well A looks good but then again D has a negative sign, and C hasnt been used in a while so ill take C" thats how i did it anyways when i wasnt cheating....
 
ya form w i had no clue on most of the grammar and the question with the half circle on the graph for that i put 6
 
i had w also, did you see the one question in the math section about Sarah (or w/e) not being in the outdoor club but wanting to go hiking or something... that was a dumb question for math, i guess it could have been reasoning but still
 
i have them saturday, fucking check in time is 7:30 i'm gonna fucking sleep through the entire test and get like a 250 on it
 
well

i was in a ok mood went i arrived to school

i took the psat's and was form w

and i ditched fifth period

then i was in a bad mood after the psat and then had to go to pe and math

and realized how much i hate school

 
u know where u put ur name this junior i was sitting next to didnt give 2 shits bout this test and put his name as ADD and did nothing else on the test
 
good question.... i guess im just in a cheating mood today like after the psat i was in english and cheated the whole way on the test, however, i still only got a c hahaha

i took it today, kinda. i asked if it had any effect on collage. they said no, so i put my name on it and walked out.

i took it last year, shits weak
 
form W oh hells yes. i thought it was pretty lame, oh well. at least i have my education right!

if u get above a 201 u get NMSQ to send recomendation thingies to 2 colleges of ur choice. if u get like above 215 u get a National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist, finalist is higher (duh). and if u get the scholarship (bout $2500 per year) ur score has to be MAD high.

im not bashing u. im saying that unless ur really smart, it doenst matter for shit. I want to stress the fact that im not hating or trying to contradict u, im mostly agreeing with u
 
i took them too, form w. how many questions were actually on it? i slayed the math, but got rocked by comprehension i think..
 
haha i'm pretty sure EVERYONE had form W

that thing sucked. i got a 69 last year as a sophmore so this year it counts, i jsut guessed which blows because it counts 1/4 against you but i didn't even care, haha
 
I didn't think it was very hard. I hate tests like this though, i took the PLAN, IOWA, and PSAT's this year, and then later CATS testing... Do all schools do a ridiculous amount of testing?
 
word, i should have worded that differently.

im not too concerned wit the whole scholarship thing. i have nuff money (from myself, not rich parents) to make it through CU, and getting above a 201 would require a huge amount of effort
 
It's not exactly 201 and 215. It's a certain number of students getting each thing. The top 50,000 are qualified, which sends the recommendations to colleges. 35,000 get commended, which really doesn't mean much. 16,000 get semifinalist, which qualifies you for finalist. The top 15,000 get finalist, which qualifies you for a shitload of scholarships. You basically have to fail the SAT not to get finalist if you get semifinalist.

I got a 219 last year, and I'm a semifinalist. I know one of the other semifinalists at my school got a 215, but I don't think they've announced what the cutoff scores are yet.
 
i took them today i dont think i did that bad i stomped mass. the last answer on the first section of math is 18 if neone careswho is takeing it saturday. i didnt know how to do it but the math teacher explained it.
 
You guys all need to relax. As an SAT tutor, I can tell you that they arent very indicative of what you'll get on the SAT, and furthermore, they only count if you want to try for the National Merit Scholarships, which very few of you will actually see any money out of anyways. There are many other scholarships out there that are easier to get and give you more money for college.

Dont sweat it. Its a stupid test that measures how well you can fill in bubbles. Good for your friend who did better, he can fill in bubbles better. Its not a predictor or what you've learned, what kind of person you are, and how sucessful you will be.
 
yea took it today the math was really easy but im not sure i did very well on the english. at least we didnt ahve to go to my first 5 classes.
