PSA warning about Frontier Air baggage

PSA warning about Frontier Air baggage. Talked to a baggage manager and learned that they do nothing to track any bags. They don’t know which or how many bags are on any plane and they know nothing about any bag unless they have eyes on it. The lady said they rely 100% on the eyeball system. They lost my bag then sent me pictures of it in PDX and said to pick it up there and now that I have arrived in PDX my bag is lost again. Talking to people working other airlines and they all say they are glad not to be Frontier. I don’t recommend flying Frontier to ski.

Oh no you got me nervous. Flying Delta today but did not need the thought of loosing my skis on my mind.

delta is goated you'll be fine

Southwest gave us the same line when they lost our bags "uhhh we don't track them so we can't say where it is or when it will arrive". Yet there's literally a barcode on it.

Edit: op if you haven't already I'd try and get them to comp you for your trip delays. Airlines bend over surprisingly easy if you press them.

Honestly do not fly frontier at all costs pay the extra to be treated like a real human. Hadn’t flown w them for a while but experienced it in both slc and den that they make you put your bag in the slot and have a gate attendent watch you to make sure it fits, their whole thing is if it even has to be pushed in your pulled out of line and have to pay $100 checked bag fee. Overheard last time one of the gate agents said you better hurry because we will leave without you if you don’t check your bag in time like bruh wtf it’s just a bag chill the fuck out. Frontier gotta be the shittiest airline out rn cannot imagine flying with checked bags and luggage

American Airlines sent my bag on the wrong plane and offered to pay for renting any gear I was without on the flight. Was just a jacket and ski clothes which my dad brought extra of so I was fine but they still drove 3 hours from the airport to my hotel to deliver my bag a couple days later. Got injured on the trip and missed my flight home so they gave me like 90% off a hotel at the airport and upgraded my flight back to business class.

Southwest fucking tosses bags. Mf's broke my poles and managed to make both heel pieces on my pivots snap closed with dins set to 11. Basically told me to fuck myself and do a better job padding my shit when my skis and poles were wrapped in 2 weeks worth of clothes separately. SW is pretty much hit or miss cause most other times have been pretty good but pad the fuck out of anything you check like it's gonna be tossed off a 5 story building, especially with ski bags. Maybe take pictures when packing so you have evidence of any gear not being fucked up first.

Norwegian airlines is nice af for the cost with overall good service but they're sticklers about bags being overweight at most airports, though I found if you're leaving from a smaller airport with a connecting flight they don't really give a shit and will let you check whatever you want.

Southwest tracks the bags pretty well from my experience. They scan every bag. United on the other hand can suck a dick. My flight was delayed and when i landed i had to go right across the hall to the connecting flight. I asked if my bags made it and without even checking this sassy lady said “don chu know bags make it to the plane before people do?” And like a schmuck i didnt have her check and I got on the plane. Landed and turns out my bag didnt make it on the plane. They said they would drive it up to the mountains and deliver it but i ended up having a buddy swoop it from them. I guess my bag was just fuckin sitting there. So on the way back I wanted to bring my BMX bike and i called and the lady assured me on the phone it would be $45 i compared that to fedex which would have cost me around $60. Get to the gate and they said it would be $135
