PSA: First Colorado avalanche death this year.

While the person caught in the avalanche was a snowshoer, this death could been easily been avoided by doing the obvious thing. Leaving a existing Trail.

Even in the preliminary report the group supposedly expressed concern but continued on into slide areas.

Just a friendly PSA to remind people that just cause there is a skin track dosen't mean its safe.

This is the part that blows my mind....

...so basically some jackass is out wandering around with ZERO avi gear....
