I'm going to go with the Wii, because that the price seems really reasonnable and because I want the gameplay to be different. The Wii's new controller is going to be sick and I prefer revolutionary gameplay over good graphics.

I don't have an HDTV so I have no need for Blu-Ray

Nintendo makes the best game.

I already have a 360 so why get another super graphics machine?
 
personally id much rather have xbox 360...if were talking about new consoles. i love my xbox and i love my games and id hateto switch over
 
I would pick the PS3....not for the power....not for Blu-ray.....but for Grand Turismo, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy, new Resident Evil....and i could keep going. It just has all my favorite games on it. The onyl reason i would buy X box 360 is for Halo 3. Other then that, i would never buy that shit.
 
actually the final fantasy's r coming on the 360 now and i think eventually most of them will be for the 360 do to the expenisive price of the PS3 and the games

hahaha you have no idea what your talking about......final fantasy will NEVER go on x-box. The next one is made directly for PS3....and no one else. You just talking out of your ass. Same thing for grand turismo, MGS4.....get educated.

ps3 is just the same as what we've seen before

i'm going to say wii. the wii's price is so much more reasonable, and the ps3 is just going to be more of the same. yeah the graphics are going to be nuts on the ps3, and there will probably be some awesome games for it too, but i'll just play them at my friend's house. the wii's gameplay looks so much more innovative and so much more fun, i can't wait.
 
Umm, did you watch E3? No? Then you get educated on all the great games the Xbox 360 is getting. You can have your PS3, and with all those game's you will be spending 1,000+ for it all too.
 
ps3 will have the next ssx games.

and before you say anything, the grabs dont work as well on xbox.

i will wait to see what the next gen ssx looks like.
 
Nintendo's new system, at first it was the 'Revolution' but for some reason they changed it to 'Wii', sound's retarded, I know.
 
ps3 is going to have about 3 the graphics, ps3's graphics blowwwww x-box 360's graphics away! if your gunna buy a system that your gunna keep, defffently buy ps3 it will still be an unbelieavable system in 10 years, the thing is gunna be nuts, if you have the money or just waiting for x-mas this system is incrediable... WII is a classic, cheap and can play every game ever made by nintendo deffently a good buy if your a little lower on cash.

the Wii won't even have a dvd player... that really bothers me

it's not just the fact that you cant watch movies on it...

the games arnt' going to be able to have as much data on them as a dvd or a hd-dvd or blueray disc

the more data you can put into a game the more realistic it can get

think about the possibilitys of having games where every computer opponent has it's own scripted AI, which makes it unuiqe from every other opponent--do you catch what i'm saying here?

And I don't know if anyone mentioned it above, but do you guys know what a bluray player is? Yep, thats right, PS3 will be one. Blurays are the new thing! They can store up to 50 GB! of Data! Thats fucking huge. Oh ya, blueray players cost upwards of 1000-1500$. So, in actuality, you are getting a huge discount for buying the PS3 which will have vastly superious games, graphics and capabilities over the other 2 systems.
 
I'm getting the PS3. always been a PS guy. the only thing xbox has that i like is the amped series, and I'm not about to buy a system for one game. and I haven't had a desire to buy nintendo since the SNES...

but in all actuality, the PS3 isn't in my budget right now, I probably won't end up buying it until next fall, but that's ok, because it'll be just in time for the release of GTA4. Fuck yea.
 
im not getting either.

IMO Wii will come out on top of PS3, parents are going to look at the price and like it, 12 year olds can even buy it themselves. PS3 is too ahead of its time in terms of technology, it's just too expensive. Overall though, XBOX is going to Pwn all, once Wii comes out microsoft will lower the price on 360, 360 will have more games, a lot better graphics and a bunch of other features Wii cant compete with for only a little more scrill.

If i get anything it'll be 360 because of the backword compatibility with regular XBOX games and the controller.
 
if you want the full potential of a of a p3 your going to have to buy a HD tv which is garbage cuz ur already spending 600+ on the console so then ur guna need a 1000+ tv to be able to truly enjoy the graphics on the heap sounds like u gota b a real tron to sink that much money in the video games which is why u will see a wii in my living room cuz my roomates buyin it sicckness
 
I'm sorry but that Wii controller is the gayest thing ive ever seen. Its a fucking remote, i'd be like the equivilant of playing a game with a stick. I know its revoulutionary but at least PS3 and 360 controllers you throw into the ground with a feeling of satisfaction when ur pissed. That Wii controller would be like throwing a jumprope.....i dont know where im going with this, but i dont like tht controller.
 
That is true, but when blurays catch on, you will need an HDTV to watch those as well. 50GB disks in 1080i I think, don't remember exactly, but its high-def. So you are still saving about a grand by not just buying a blueray player.

yeah the new controllers for wiii look kinda dumb ... i dunno looks hard to adapt to from playing with xbox and ps2 controllers.
 
yea super smash is like the sickest game ever.. i wont buy either cause im cheap and my little bro bought a 360

the ps3 sounds dope tho.. if i had 600 to spend on a game system it would be the ps3.. to bad my skis cost 600..
 
you mean the non-backwards compatibility

only the PS3 and the wii can you put in an old disc and play, 360 can't play xbox games without downloading bullshit first
 
plus not to mention the fact that regular television in the next few years is going to want to go to an all HD brodcast, i mean its in our lifetimes that we'll probably see the death of 'regular' tv as we know it
