PS3 preorders

why they suck compaired to PS3, and the nintendo wii looks liek it might be good too, just cause the controller has motion sensors and shit in it

PS3 is a 'little' better then Xbox360's, but you gotta think. Xbox 360 = $400 + $60 a game while PS3's are $600 + $60(I think) a game, I'd rather save $200, anyways, Xbox360 has Halo 3.

And anyway, the graphics won't be that much worse then the PS3, and you'll have to pay out the ass for one of those new motion controllers they have.

for 600 dollars you could buy like um at least 40-60 beers then you could get drunk. That would be fun. Or you could get a really good hooker. or you could go on a baloon ride. That would be fun too...

CNET:

If you think about it hard engouh, you will think that the xbox 360 is better. You'll think this because they both have the same graphic capabilities but the xbox 360 has better accessories, online capabilities, games, and is cheaper(By both the price of the console and Games). The Games are going to cost you more on the playstation 3 because of the blu-ray format. Of what I have read, the playstation 3 only has two advantages over the xbox 360 that make it more expensive which are the graphics and the blu-ray player. If you read the article on ign about assassin's creed, the developers said that they are virtually identical on both the xbox 360 and the ps3. That means that the xbox 360 has just as much graphic capabilities as the ps3. So that kills the whole, ps3 has better graphics than the xbox 360, idea. The other advantage that people say the ps3 has is that it supports blu-ray. First of all, that will be useless when it comes to gaming. I am sure that there will be no games that will use more space than the the dual layer discs that xbox 360 uses which holds about 9 gigs. The Game Morrowwind Oblivion only uses 6 gigs of space. This games only uses 2/3s of the space on the disc but still holds over 100 hours of gameplay and has large and beautiful landscapes in which the graphics are still very good. The only other reason that you would want to by it for the blu-ray is for the movies. First of all, hd-dvd is going to win the battle over the next main movie medium. So having a blu-ray player isn't going to be much use if there aren't many movies for it. I don't blindly say that hd-dvd is going to win, I actually have my reasons for this. If you look back to when the video cassette first came out, you'll find out that there was another medium that also came out but lost the battle and barely anyone has ever heard about it. Sure the other one was smaller, more advance, and held just as much as a cassette, but it was more expensive. That is how the blu-ray is compared to hd-dvd. The blu-ray picture quality is about the same as the hd-dvd picture quality, but its more expensive. A blu-ray player at Best Buy costs about 1,000 dollars, but an HD-DVD player costs only 500 dollars, which is half the price. So I don't think that the blu-ray will be much use to the owner if only a few selection of movies are available for it. And the new HD-DVD add on the the xbox 360 is coming out for 200 dollars. If you add that to the price of the console it equals roughly around $600 which is the same price as a playstation 3. But if you realize that, doesn't it seem like the officials at microsoft thought that up and figured out that they can keep their console cheap for the people who just want to play games but still be able to satisfy those who want Hi-Def movies playing on their console. Sony wasn't smart enough to figure that out so they are getting many complaints about the price of the ps3. Sure it is a very reasonable price, but that doesn't mean that it will satisfy those who don't care for the Hi-Def movies. They will just think that it was a waste of there money. So the only reason I can think of for a person to buy the ps3, is because they are stubborn headed, rich, or maybe they have one game that is coming out only for the ps3 that they just have to have. So think about it ps3 fans or anyone who is still debating on debating on which one to get.

err your right

i should have known that being as that i just bought mine for 299 last week

fuck the core package though, its def worth it to get the premium.

yeah considering it costs like $20-30 for a mem. card which doesn't hold shit compared to the harddrive (+ you get the wireless controller, it owns)

are you kidding 40- 60 beers for 600$ thats fucking rediculous you could probably get atleast 600 keystones for that much.

Yeah I was excited for the ps3, then I releasised the only differences was blue-ray and the graphics. Little nicer graphics are fine, but I don't really care about Blue-ray, its a waste of money. And now with the aannouncement that guitar hero II is for the 360, ps2, and ps3, I don't care too much about the ps3, I'll probably go with a 360. And my little bro's getting a Wii (Nintendo and its only 200$ so I'm set.

no...everybody thinks that the PS3 is expensive. Dude this thing is TOTALLY backwards comaptible for every playstation game ever made. This thing will will be able to play blueray disks too. Just a blueray player by its self it worth more then 700$. This thing has way more power then all the other machines, no to mention the awsome hardrive. All the best games are going to be on this machine too. For example: Final Fantasy, Grand Tursimo HD, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil.......i can keep going. The thing is that the PS3 is worth the price you pay for it.

Not to mention the fact that Sony is only shipping enough of them on the release date to give 50 to each state. Pre-orders dont mean jack in this case, you're gonna be waiting a long time guys.

hahaha halo3.......ok there. Xbox does not sell good anywhere but the united states. You need an HDTV to expearence the 360 too. Ohh and just the fact that the 360 is not backwards compatible is sheer bullshit. Ohh not to mention that everybody who owned the V1 of the original x-box had to get them fixed because the DVD drive went to shit. The PS2 was built pretty solid. I owned an x-box, and it was great for somethings, but i just had way moe fun on the playstation systems. OHHH and BTW Bly-ray stores much more information then HD DVD. The more we move to blu-ray the better games we will have. Now i think you schould take bill gate's cock out of your mouth and be open to other systems.

i need to get myself the 360 for so many games

Need For Speed: Carbon

Tony Hawks: Project 8

Halo:3

and soooo much more screw the ps3 im not wasting my money on something that is just gunna cost me more and more because of the games and shit oh wow better graphics 360 still has bad ass graphics

im for ps3 i hope the controlers rnt gay liek they look like there gonna be. and i think all of us skiers should sigin a huge petition to have a ski game made for it and send it to some game company. some shit liek that would be good

we did that.......SSX on tour, and its not that bad of a game. Although the realisim go out the door, and they did not have our ski brands in there, or our real hills. I think a good skiing game would be awsome.

the skis were real brands my friends skis r on that game and ya realism is kinda not there in that game but i have to say it had an amazing game engine for the skiing and shit it was put perfectly and me a snowboarder prefered playing the skiing over snowboarding i just got into so much better

there is so many rumors like that that come around every day. As for the high prices in the game, those are prices for shinca, which is also what the 360 games run. I am garunteed a ps3 on the release date at my eb games

Ya about that, the dvd player in the PS2 wasn't all that great, there were a bunch of problems with skipping and not reading discs as well as the whole system overheating a lot, so don't say that the PS2 didn't have its share of problems.

And with the PS3, sure pretty graphics are nice, but when you actually get into the game, what are you caring about, shiny water, or the actually gameplay? So really you are just playing better looking PS2 games. Wow sure worth the $600 price tag and 70-100 dollar games. And if you are saying that the graphics make the sooooo much better, look at the early days of the 360, there was a great abundance of 'pretty' yet crappy playing games, and did many like them, no.

Oh and all you saying that OMG the graphics are sooooo amazing that they alone are enough to buy it and they are better than the 360, just to let you know, a lot of the trailers for the PS3 were proved to be cg movies and not actually gameplay footage.

And my final point, why buy one overpriced system that isn't as good as the Wii or 360, when you could buy the Wii AND 360 for pretty much the same price.

Sure it's pretty but is it worth it when you lack the features and ur still playing this generation of games, thats why Wii is gonna win cause Playing is Believing
