I have been searchbarring this topic and can't find anything substantial. I want to know why light bindings or heavy bindings matter. I prefer lighter gear but what are the differences? Thanks for all input.
generally lighter = more plastic = less durable which can lead to retention problems but are genrally cheaper
heavier = metal = more durable and better chance of solid retention however the weight can mess some people up in their tricks if they arent comfortable with it
There is definitely a relationship between weight and durability
So if you are really heavy on your gear and want some bindings which can take some abuse then go for something with some more metal in them..
Generally speaking these will be either racestock gear, or high-din models for the heavier guys, but yeah..durability and ability to take more aggression is the main thing.
yes as someone said up therelighter binding-more plastic-not as durable heavier binding-more metal-more durrability
i personaly prefer lighter bindings, heavy binding just screw me up on spins
