Proposal for photo/video rating system

I have an idea that might be swell for the photo/video rating system:

what if instead using the 1-10 system, we use a simple thumbs up/thumbs down or upvote/downvote system? I think that it would be a much more simpler manner to rate videos, I know personally I have never given a video a 2-9; just a 1 or 10.
