This is what i did, pretty cheesy but works well.
I placed a poster on the front of her porch so when she got up to go to school she would see the sign. It read "Will you rock with me to prom? bring your answer to school today" Under the yes section of the poster was a tiny pebble and under the no was fairly bring boulder. So in order for her to say no she had to bring the huge boulder to school.
Like I said, really cheesy but it works

My way.
Got one of her mates to get her keys. Then got her car filled it with balloons, and taped a sign asking to go to the ball (your prom) onto the steering wheel. Then gift wrapped the whole car and put a bow on it. Took a bit of effort but she was stoked on it.

buddy of mine silk screened a shirt with "prom?" all up on it, had it under his hoody, at dinner ripped that shit off and girly was astonished. boom end of story done deal. simple but works like a charm.
