big sky closes the 11th. i usually try to get to some other areas after bs closes. will great divide stay open til may again? anywhere else? so when is your mountain closing?
 
The snow has been melting really fast at GD, so definitely not into May. There's a chance they'll still be open then, and they might have some features set up, but it really depends on how much snow melts in the next few weeks.
 
I'm sure Great Divide will be open one more day at least if it snows, seems like that always happens. Showdown is closed which is unfortunate with the amount of snow up there, oh well happens every year. It will be skiable until at least mid-May.
 
Oh and Red Lodge is still open on weekends as long as weather permits. Just read this on their site.
 
How about sunshine village around the end of April or beginning of May? Or are you thinking in-state?
 
i have no moneys right now, but i start my summer job soon. I might be able to make ends meet tho if you make up some plans for an out of state trip
 
Ya they allow up hill travel. Usually George, the owner of the area will be there skinning up too and he is at least 60+. Let me know if you want to come to the Little Belts, we could have some fun on Showdown and there are some other fun spots up there, east coast style like mad river glen with deep Montana snow, lots of fun!

Also, if anyone reading this wants to go ski, and possibly stay overnight in the Big Belt and/or Crazy Mountains sometime this month or next month post something up in here. A few Showdown workers and people from White Sulphur are planning some trips. Most of them know the area very well.
 
For what it's worth, today was really fun. Skied about 3 hours on the wild west side, didnt hit any rocks and the snow was good.
 
Great Divide is open on Friday from Noon until it gets dark. Probably not on the weekend, because it's supposed to get pretty warm, but knowing GD there's always a chance.
