Progression... Help

Park.

my crew loves skiing mountain and I do too. Skiing switch is my favorite thing about skiing, but I take park over mountain any day except pow days and alot of glare ice days. The people in my crew prefer mountain over park just about any day but still ski a few laps of park.

This is my last year before moving out west and the park is sick, my style has finally emerged after more than a decade of skiing, and I have progressed insanely fast when I have tried new tricks. My issue is that I can't progress on my own very well. I love having people to get the hype levels up and to push eachother and I need that energy to build up my hype or else I just half-ass the tricks im trying to learn and do the shit I know and stay casual since thats my skiing personality for the most part. I also don't have music and ski by myself a fair amount during the week and such so skiing by myself when all my friends are at the mountain is super weak.

So NS, what can I do to progress the way I want? I am fresh off a splint for a broken hand and I didnt even get to ski today. Tomorrow im looking to go hard as well as for the rest of the season. I want to ski with my friends, but they rarely go to the park for how much I want to and we are the only park skiers at this place aside from some randos that are way below the level of skiing that I would need to push myself with.

Honestly, Ive progressed pretty well by skiing with people below my skill level. It made me look at a lot of features and tricks differently.

But seriously dude, just ski with your friends and forget about anything else.

I am talking about they don't know how to hit a rail yet and I have so much fun learning tricks that it is without a doubt what I want to continue doing

Take the park to the mountain, bruh

But seriously, just ski with them if you don't want to ski by yourself when they're there or whatever. Sure there are no rails, but you can work on a whole bunch of park skills on any run. Progression, it's not just a trick list

I agree completely and thats what I try to do. Unfortunately the lack of snow on the East prevents alot of progression since all we really have for the most part are groommed trails. Of course there are a few exceptions but right now, nothing skiable at my mountain. Side hits and difficult terrain are going to be my distant future, so I have no problem skiing that kind of stuff right now. I just know it won't compare very well to out west where our closed trails are average/easy trails out west for ungroomed. I also just know that I love the atmosphere of the park and its what I want to do for a very long time since some of my best friends who left my mountain last year are absolutely murdering it this year in the park which gives me more motivation to push myself.

I will focus less on going mach penis sending it off shit and more on jibbing now though and see how it feels

sometimes I am skiings on thes mountians and I uses skills Iz have learzensed in ze parhk. Like bonkings the logs when I ams skiings the trees. Other times I use skills I learnzed on the mountians when I skis the Parks. Like dodging gapers and shredding peoples faces offs.

damn dude youre pretty dope. would love to catch a lap with you someday up in NH and maybe learn a thing or two

keep sending man, youre talented

I enjoy hiking rails to get better, teach your friends your knowledge on rails and you try and get your trick at the same time. I've been the one to be taught in that situation and my friend got a new trick or two in while coaching me!
