im going to high north and i wanted to from people who have been there or n e were else how much you progress, is it alot more then just any day out on the mountain?

it's all about how much you want to

i went to learn, while others go because they're rich, and just want to ride in the summer

if you're willig to learn, every coach is willing to teach.

HIGH NORTH SESSION 2!

^ sooo true

Obvously it depends on fast of a learner you are

and what you think it's worth

i mean, you want to try shit you never thought you could, but you don't want to get hurt and sit out the rest of camp

you learn alot more cause everyone is telling you to do it, and you don't wanna look like a fag in front of seth

'one twelv rails' comming soon to a backyard near you

it is on you. it's how much you want it. If you want to try new tricks then expect that it is not going to be easy. The coaches, the environment, and everything else will make it more comfortable to progress to the tricks that you want. They can help you out tremendously. But still, it's up to you to perform them. Just do it, push yourself. You won't regret it.

By the end of your session you may not even see great progression, but if you've listened to everything the coaches told you and learn from the other riders, then you could just have gained priceless knowledge that will help you take your skiing to the next level.

In a nut shell, push yourself passed the limit that you set for yourself, remain positive, have fun, and absorb everything you learn.

If you do this, I guarantee you will progress greatly

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

it doesnt help when the glacier is filled w/ clouds though. I've been to SMS for two years and the 1st year (sesh 1)it was competley cloudy and snowing/raining for four of the 6 days, same with last year (sesh 2). And the days it wasnt snowing it was kinda cold. If we dont get some sun this year im gonna quit skiing, because it is god telling me something

(SMS SESSION 2)

''...ride away clean and smiling, and taunt the rail by waving around your middle finger at it. (Note: if you have mittens on then it's important to take them off before preforming this procedure.'' -Boyd Easley (on rail sliding)

^ haha Caleb

yeah, the weather can set the mood, but if the coaches do their job right, they'll stay psyched to keep the campers stoked. It's all about the atmosphere
