Profile Pic not working?

I have been trying to change my profile picture for awhile but it hasnt been working. Its not the image, because choose the image file it shows up, but then I click on a link/leave that page and it goes back to do the default newschoolers logo. What am I doing wrong?

It is the right size. When I select it it becomes my profile picture, but then when i go to a new screen it goes to default
