Anybody else want to throw some hands after multiple “pro” skiers are posting “oh jist out for a wee dawn patrol weeee!” Like what the actual hell you imbeciles, you realize you have a massive following of fellow imbeciles that have no backcountry knowledge, like yourself, that are now inspired to go get some “pow turns”! 4 people just died in the backcountry and you honestly think right now is a good time to be bragging about your bad decision making?? The backcountry is not safe right now.

AT LEAST- if you are going to go into the BC (and you actually feel comfortable with your knowledge and training) wait to post about it, social media makes people forget to use their brains.

i see what you mean but also might be time to limit social media use and things like that. ski influencers are annoying but you can always choose to not see them skiing in insta or whatever. or maybe start following the many Avalanche Centers and education resources out there if you want to change your algorithm up i guess. It is interesting seeing what is going on around other parts of the west just by a few taps and scrolls in your hand.
