Anyone know how it's done? Does 4bi9/level 1/TGR license tracks like regular media? Do you work it in house or have an outside publishing house clear everything?
 
yeah I've actually been wondering about this as well. there is no way that they pay as much as a high budget hollywood movie to use copyrighted music

In 2015 yes all said companies are paying for music. 4bi9 didn't start really until the last couple years, level one didn't for awhile either. As far as I know pbp/tgr/msp always have.
 
sorry to necro this thread, missed the responses. Thanks for the info nick, trying to find some folks to reach out to regarding discounted licensing for projects I think are cool. Like, shit that HBO pays $10k for for like.......nothin. Cuz like........skiing is cool & stuff.
