Problem with Canon T3i

sorry. but by crappy footage i mean look at the bricks, the roof........ wtf is going on !!

was shooting on :

iso 100

f 5.0

1/200

and standard colors.

that's a classic downfall of hddslrs, its called moire and it happens because the cameras sensor cant recongize whats going on in finely detailed areas. So it trys and you get that ugly rainbow stripes where there are small details. It has nothing to do with what mode you shoot in, just avoid shooting things like brick walls.

Haha should have done your research man. But that camera is still capable of a ton, regardless of how it makes brick walls look. Don't let it get you any less stoked on shooting.

for sure. I've got the T3i also, and I knew of this problem before i got it. still an amazing cam for the price tho

you should try to always keep your sharpness all the way down no matter what.

and it is annoying, but the truth is most people except you and other video people won't even notice that's going on.

i know. i told my friend that i was frustrated because my footage looks like crap but he didnt even notice.....

but yeah thx for the tip. i will put the sharpness to 0, hope it will help a bit
