Instagram tried to kill them off and failed. Snapchat has more new accounts being created daily than instagram and is up to 180 million daily active users, nothing near facebook but they are still growing pretty damn well.

Yeah, I mean I was just being a smart ass. For myself personally, I use snapchat all the time with my friends, but that's about it. Instagram is a much larger platform and for brands, athletes, etc it's much, much better than snapchat.
