In order to shoot motion picture/cinemetography...I suppose you may not want a STILL camera...

and yes, fps is irrelevant as far as the 500c goes...

it's most definitely not a video camera

i got a rebel 2000...works welll enough for me...if you were to compare the two how much better is yours than the rebel? just wonderin

wu-tang clan ain't nothing to fuck with

ya i figured that cuz one of my teachers has one but i was just wonderin if you would consider a rebel a good camera

wu-tang clan ain't nothing to fuck with

a rebel is an ok camera for somone geting in to photography, but any camera is only as good as the glass u put in front of it. and in my oppinion the hassy lens are the best that are out there. and the whole system is suposed to be well made and bomb proof.

also because it produces a negitive/transparency that is 6cm x 6cm the pictures can be made larger and retain more quality and sharpness then anything takin with 35mm.

o ok that makes sense cause i am just gettingt into photography...thanks fo lettin me know

The Rebel series are great cameras for the beginner/intermediate photographer...

...it's definitely a sold cam

Dude, seriously do you know what the F#(& you are talking about? Have you ever tried to shoot 4x5 skiing? mf of skiing?

Probally not. There is not a single photog in the industry shooting skiing with a 4x5, very few even use MF, so I dont see how you can say fuck the 500C. It is a killer camera, works extremly well, and there is no camera that beats it, it does have a few rivals but not many.

The only use a 4x5 has is in the studio, and htere is not much that a 4x5 can do that you cant with another sytem with TS lenses.

I think the cheapest digital SLR is Canon's Digital Rebel...the entry level model.

Not positive on price but it's somewhere close to $900 I believe...but please, don't quote me on that

Decent and affordable????? I dont think that I have ever heard thouse two words together.

The Canon 20D is supposed to be ok, but it aint a pro-level camera, and quite frankly, I am a bit biassed towards film.

My friend has a rebel and he loves it, takes nice sequence shots and it's not too heavy, good digital I think it's 7.3MP or 8.0 not totally sure

It's around $900

"and then I found 5 bucks and got an HJ"

REbels cannot take good sequences. they are too slow and their frame buffers are too small, you can only get like a 4 frame burst at 2.5fps.

20d is closest thing i'd say although after i woned mine for about a week I decided to get rid of it..
