Maybe if people read books.
I saw it. Not terrible. They cut a lot of it out, but what do you expect, it's a 2 hour feature. Keira did a good job and looked damn fine doing it... too bad the "love" scenes looked like the cover of a fucking romance novel. I don't need 30 seconds of slow-mo to see Darcy walking in, thanks. In that sense it really was a chick flick and aimed towards some pretty dense chicks. But the main body of it, I was not upset with. Dame Dench was excellent as always.

my mom made me see it- a horrible chick flick-the minute u walk into the theatre-treehuggers and hippies everywhere!

I haven't seen it, but it can't be better than the original BBC version surely (although, at 300 minutes, it is a bit of a marathon to watch all in one go)? As for Keira Knightley; she's not a bad actress I just think she has made some very bad choices for roles. I'd imagine that she is suited to the part of Elizabeth pretty well.
