Pretty lights jiberish swag

I dont know about that - he's mixing it up on stage and remixing just like any other good/decent DJ does. His light shows are dope too.

I just asked my sister if she was going and she said tickets were super expensive. Are there any other performers?

......?

have you ever been to an electro/dub/d&b/dj show....? its not about stage presence, its about the music. as it should be.

So stoked to see him in a couple weeks. Got 2 of the last 3 tix to the show awwww yee!

lol fuck THAT. stage presence is EVERYTHING and if you don't have it you'll never get respect from the musical community. why do you think ppl love daft punk shows? stage presence.

I've never been to a pretty lights show but come on man. It's a show. If you want to listen to the music go to a rave or blast it on some dope speakers or something. It's essentially the same thing...about the music.

sorry just had to get that in there, mothafuckas need to learn about good live music and bring it back to the electronic scene...too many of the shows I go to just turn into raves that I would normally be able to go to for free and I get upset I wasted my money.

I hear you on the whole stage presence thing. All but one of the electronic shows I've been to (Dada Life) had no stage presence. And Dada Life remains my favorite, probably partially for that reason.
But even if they don't have stage presence, if they're a good enough DJ they can mix things live that there is no way you'd be able to replicate on your own.

Derek is way tight with the Jiberish guys, he always is reppin Jiberish at shows and around town. he wore a Jiberish jacket during his set at Snowball and ive seen quite a few pictures on facebook of him in jiberish. and for the doubters, Pretty Lights is one of the most dope live acts you'll ever see. I mean his name is "Pretty Lights," so the whole visual experience pretty much speaks for itself.

I like his music, but this dude is a drug addict

he matches an oxy 80 with a line of coke.

an oxy 80 crushed up is about 7-8 inches...

he parties hard.

Funny that after seeing him, he definitely didn't live up to the hype. He was wearing a jiberish tee at the vancouver show by the way. But didn't really bring as much presence as I was expecting either. Mt. Eden surprised me and actually put on a better show than derek, being the openers for him. They did more than just stand behind the computer playing a list of tracks. The music side of things is more personal so I still think Pretty Lights was more appealing than Mt. Eden. But when I think back to the show I think of Mt. Eden more than Pretty Lights.

this. He was fucking my friends roommate in wil ville at CU for a portion of last year the dude makes good music but he sounds like a complete boner.

I went to a pretty lights concert when he came to my school last year. Definitely worth it. It was so sick. He looks like death though in real life. He looks paler then shit

ahaha God..I love pretty lights, but it's hilarious how different shit seems from when you're in the show, to watching it on video. He kinda does look like a boner when performing live, but I'm never in a state to judge.

i dont see how it matters if he is wearing a jiberish tee. it is a dope streetwear company that is starting to break out to people besides skiers. and correct me if im wrong, but isnt he from CO? where there would be a lot of jiberish around anyways

the truth has been spoken. all the best artists out there know that they are there for the crowd and its their job to get them going any way they can. Skrillex for example, he mixes it up on stage every single show, lets the crowd sing, shows them love, and really does it for the energy, that's stage presence

and hes right, a show is called a SHOW for a reason, its not just music coming out of speakers.

go see The Bloody Beetroots. Their live show, unparalleled. They have more energy, and get the crowd going harder, than any other band I've seen in the last 3-4 years, with the exception of ETID.
