Preserving the history of skiing

I was going through my DVD collection today and it kind of bummed me out that the newer generation will probably never watch a plehouse, rage, h30, tsp, or even stept film. I'm not sure if pbp films are still available online or not, I don't think it is possible to buy older field production movies, and ski the east doesn't even sell born from ice anymore.

There are probably a bunch of others that I am missing (esp. edits that were wiped from NS) and it's a shame that the generations to come will be unable to enjoy them.

I don't know how to go about this but if anyone knows the owners of copyrighted works that are no longer available, please just talk to them and see where they are at or let me know who to contact and I'll get in touch. It would be nice if they could either sell the rights, post them up, give permission to post them, or set them up on Vimeo on demand for a bit of cash flow. It just seems like such a waste to have all of the time, effort, iconic shots, and memories disappear.

I was surprised by this but almost everything is on Amazon Prime Video in one way or another. You need a 3rd party subscription like Echoboom or just rent them but the selection is actually really good:

Stept:

PBP:

MSP:

Damn thanks for this! I thought these have vanished from the internet

Does anyone know if you can download the video file from amazon if you buy a movie like vimeo allows you to do?

I haven't checked recently but Inspired has or had a good online archive of old movies

I totally agree that efforts should be made to preserve a lot of these. For instance I can't find Session 1242 digitally and that's one of the most ""important"" ski movies haha

I am not sure who keeps the old inspired site alive, but you can find a LOT of old classic movies on this page

http://inspiredmedia.tv/category/classic-movies/

*MAKE SURE TO WATCH THE HEAVY HITTING PRODUCTIONS MOVIE 'Parental Advisory' from 2000! one of the best out!

and after you get stoked on a 100 old ski movies, we got free shipping on orders over $40 til monday over at http://www.inspiredstore.co

Looks like none of those movies work anymore because they were linked to NS's old player. Lucky they still have a lot of those classic movies on our NS account here! so just check out the videos in our profile and you will find a BUNCH of classic ski movies in there.
