Preseason prep

Just sold my soul to vail resorts and bought an epic pass. Local hill probably wont be open til late december but the preseason hypes eating away at me. In the downtime ive been getting myself ready for the season via rewatching all of the traveling circus videos for at least the fifth time. Also been hitting legs and core big time, a whole lotta squats, box jumps and explosive deadlifts so i can up my jump game and (hopefully) learn swaps this season. What have you guys been up to to channel the hype and prep yourselves for the season?

I've been trying to get to having a yoga/stretching routine I do every day, I worried I'm getting to the age where I can't expect to just huck myself and not worry abut getting hurt.

Going to mount some skis up (moment bibbys) and put some wax on them. It’ll probably be the only time they get waxed this season. Also have to detune the edges under foot and sharpen at the contact points too.

Going to sew a new zipper on my b-dog jacket bc it broke last season and everyone was having to wait on the hill for me to fuck with my zipper for half the season.

Just as well going to fit my full tilts up with some new parts and put some foam on the outside of the liner around the heel to get a slightly better fit.

Been exercising as well, but def more hype on gear rn than working out haha

Any recommendation for some programs?

Exactly what I needed for my ski ballet routine

She held 8 black belts in 8 different martial arts. It's old and corny, but it's a true workout!

If you can do the fifth position in ballet on skis.........then you're doing pretty good.

Then years later on uneven ground...........see this!
