Prescription Goggles?

Almost my whole life I've worn glasses and not been able to wear contacts, I have always just accepted skiing with blurry vision but a couple weeks ago I was at the eye doctor and saw they had googles. Would these be worth the money and the time to get?
 
You'll probably have to spend half your savings on lenses, but if its worth it to you, go for it my dude.
 
There's goggles that allow space for wearing glasses underneath. My brother has a Scott brand pair and they look pretty sick. Myself, personally I would hate to wear glasses underneath. It all comes down to price. How much are they? Remember they could break and will you be able to afford to replace them? You could also save up for Lasik next year (I wouldn't do so soon to ski season).

They don't look anything special but are about $75 and will serve the purpose you're after. I used to buy glasses there before I got Lasik and their stuff is good quality and cheap.
 
They sell prescription lenses that you can just pop inside any regular goggles. My sister-in-law is an eye doctor and that's what she recommends. She is a dealer for Smith, Spy, Von Zipper and a bunch of brands and her patients can pretty much wear any goggle with the little insert things.
 
The prescription goggles are gonna cost as much as a regular good pair of glasses.

I've seen the pop in googles lens. The only reason I haven't tried those is because I'm blind as a bat.

I've just found a pair of goggles that fit over my glasses. I just wish I bought more of them before they discontinued making them.
 
Not sure if this would apply to you, but some jobs have a cafeteria plan and require you to spend it on medical related items/things otherwise the money resets each year. Spend this on prescription goggles and they would be free. I have a plan like this through my work but I wear contacts instead. Always thought if I crash and get snow inside (or they fog) that would fuck up my whole day.
 
So if you go for the inserts the key is to be careful cleaning out the snow if you do crash and get snow inside. Only issue my wife ever had was when she tried to vigorously shake the snow out on a pow day and the insert flew out into deep pow. She used some OTG goggles until she got her new inserts but hasn't gone back.
 
Ask your eye doctors office about it! So worth it. My prescription isn't strong at all so I always skiied without glasses and thought I was fine. My skiing improved exponentially when I started wearing contacts and could truly see the slopes. 100% go for it.

Also have you ever tried daily contacts? I used to have alot of issues with monthlies/biweeklys but with dailies my eyes are so comfortable. Maybe your more sensitive than me and you can't do contacts at all but in that case prescription gogs will be amazing for you
