Prescription goggles

yes i'm looking at prescription goggle cause you cant wear glasses and i hate wearing contacts, so heres my question, most likely i have to choose between bolle,smith and spy frames to get prescription lenses for them and not sure which model from each company would be the best. for reference i'm not a huge fan of crowbars, my gogs now are eg2's which i like alot because of how big they are and i also wear the a frames. so out of those three companies which gog would i like the most and resemble the eg2 the most.

any input appreciated, i wanna be able to see my landings again!
 
I got the same problem, not being able to wear contacts anymore sucks soo much. But where do you find the perscription lenses, and are they only for certain companies/models?
 
from what little research i've done it looks like they make a bunch of lenses but only for bolle, spy or smith frames, and some of the ones i've found are less than 100bucks. i'm gonna go to some eye person and find out for sure, i just dont know what kind of frame i would want cause i've never had bolle spy or smiths
 
It seems like all opticians have Smith goggles in their offices. There is no goggle that resembles eg2's, they are the biggest goggle you can get. If you want a large goggle, the prodigy is the only Smith that is close to the size of the eg2.
 
oakley does prescription as well and they have a new goggle out (splice) that has more peripheral than the crowbar but it is brand new... so i dont know if they offer prescription yet.
also, the smith prodigy is pretty huge as well but ive noticed it doesn't fit as many faces as well as the crowbar.
If you wear a helmet, you NEED to go to a shop and figure out which pair fits the best with your helmet before you go and get prescription based on price.
 
why do you hate contacts? they just take a while to get used to. and once your used to them you will like that alot better than having to fuck with glasses/ prescription goggs.

i ski with contacts all the time as im sure alot of kids do.
 
i have astigmatism in both eyes so contacts never really fit right, sucks ass. so i'm just gonna have to pay some money and get good gogs cause glasses are impossible to ride with too and dangerous
