just wondering how to add titles over vid. for peoples names and shit.

Open up your project. Go to 'file', 'new', 'title'. Make the title, put in a video track other than 1, over video.

and to make a title that shows up on the video, you have to:

) Import the clip(s) you want the title to be in. Place it in the timeline and place it in Video Track 1.

2) Now create a title. But you must create a title that is not opaque. To do this, while in the title window, right click and select window options. A window should pop up and and uncheck the box that says OPAQUE.

3) Place the title in a track above the video track(s). Then right click the title and select video options-transparency.

4) Then select WHITE ALPHA MATTE if it is not already selected for you. Now you need to click the PAGE PEEL that is located in the top right hand corner by the preview screen.

5) Now all you have to do is render it out and whoa la your done.
