premiere 6.0 question

when you put a title over a vid clip the transition spot is below the vid clip and you have to put the title above the vid in video 2, so how do you get a transition on hte title only, so it fades or does some 3d effect onto and out of the vid clip??

you cant just apply a transition to a title. To fade, use the opacity rubber bands, or use the effects and the key frames to make up your own transitions.
