Attacks are lighter

Have you noticed a difference in weight while wearing? I noticed the attacks are a tad lower than the sth2. About the same as my pivots to sth2’s. I couldn’t really tell a weight difference when I tried the sth2’s. I did feel “higher” on them because of the stack height.

I ski the STH16s and attack 14s regularly and I like the feel and weight of the attacks better. No issues yet with either except brakes bending. Only annoying thing about the attacks is the toe height has to be adjusted out of the box. The attacks also don't seems as burly.

That’s why I was curious about the 16 attack. They have more metal so more comparable to the sth2 16

Had my sth2 16s since the beginning of this season, fucking sturdy a shit, a little bit on the heavy side but almost the whole damn thing is thick metal so makes sense. Solid click everytime too. Only thing is brakes could be a little more quality but other than that no issues

Yeah well I've had no problems with the 14 durability wise so I'm sure the heftier 16 would be fine unless you're >250 lbs and/or going really big and landing flat a lot. That said, I'm sure you could find the 14s cheaper and they'd probably work just as well and be lighter.

I have both and my STH's release smoother and more reliably, I pre release constantly with my attacks idk why maybe I got a bunk pair or something

I'm not recommending you set your afds higher/tighter but it may help. Also make sure you are pulling the boot back/toe up when you're setting them.

I have noticed in reviews you have to make sure the toe height is set properly on both other wise you can have pre release

Yeah idk something funky is up with them for sure, got them mounted at the same place by the same person as my STH's tho so maybe the guy just botched the mount job on one but not the other, idk tho
