ok first of all never buy it online. go to like home depot. buy lexan AT LEAST 1/4 inch thick, if you can get thicker, thats better. anything less with just shatter

oh and get a countersink drill bit, countersink some holes and just screw it on

I'm quite fond of 3/8". However they do not have HDPE at my home depot, so you will probably have to find a plastics specialty store. Go to home depot and ask tho, they may have it, and if not, they will tell you the store closest to you that does

why never buy it online? My friend bought some from usplastics.com and it came quickly and it perfect shape. We got 1/4" and it seems like it works alright

well i went to my home depot a few weeks ago and broke a huge sheet of lexan. I was bending it and it just snapped.not sure what size but real thin real thin

I will paypal you a dollar, if you can do the measurements for me. I gotta run its gotta be like 1/4 inch thick. 8 feet long and 1 foot to 1 1/2 foot wide(may be 2' feet wide but not really)

you wont be able to get it in a sheet that shape. Buy a 2' by 4' sheet and cut it in half so you got two 1' by 4' sections then use that to make your 8' by 1' box. Item # - 42589 Price - $24.76

Thickness depends on how much support you give it, I went thin, and used more wood for support, and it's solid.
