let's hope this is true, got 5 mtn pass and keystone's terrain is amazing when/if they get snow, which isn't often haha.

alright, a little overboard saying amazing, but the windows trees and north bowl are prime spots for sure. and yeah, the beav is one my favorite's but I drive up from the front range a lot and keystone is that much closer. i'm just hoping I made the right decision on switching from the copper/WP pass since i've had that for so long and it's been epic.

Almost everywhere can be amazing when they get a shit ton of snow. But knock on wood, I'd love ski areas to open early this year!

I'm not being ignorant. I have lived in co for 22 years and ski keystone a fair amount and i believe that keystones terrain is not as good as most other places in CO. even small mom and pops mtns have better terrain than they do.I'll admit i do hold places to high standards when it comes to terrain, and also that my last comment came off as ignorant even a little pretentious, but i know what im talking about, and keystone is not where i go when the snow is good.

What's the difference between La nina, and el nino?? Because everyone was stoked on El nino, and we ended up over 75 inches BELOW the average snowfall. shit sucks. So what is to say that next year won't also suck snowfall wise?

people in southwestern colorado were excited, el nino's are never good for northern colorado. they tend to usually wrap up nicely in spring, but this year even that trend was sparse. la nina's are usually good for early season snow and also wrap up in the spring, with tendencies for lulls in the mid-winter. these are all just trends though, anything can happen.

That makes sense, and yeah, i guess Southern colorado and New mexico did much better for snow.

Well whatever happens i hope it means lots of pow for me, more than this year at least haha.
