Does anyone else get nervous before they start skiing again? like wether or not they will still be able to do old tricks (backflips, cork 7, etc)

Currently just feeling worried I guess about wether or not i'll still be able to do everything.

how do you guys deal with this? tips appreciated

I'm nervous to start skiing again cus I got a new ACL. So I get what you mean, I'm really nervous I won't be on the same level I was last season...

I guess part of being prepared is spending the time and effort getting prepared. That means gym time, cardio, balance work, proper stretching and eating well. If you have access to a training facility like Woodward, it would be time to start going and talking to the coaches there. If you're confident and put in the work, that's about as prepared as you can be within your control as a human being.

Most definitely, still really nervous to going upside down this season. Last season was almost no prob, but had around the same level of nervousness before I flipped for the first time.

I'd say to combat this just wait for a day when it feels right you know? Like maybe a pow day or a day that you're seshing with your friends and put yourself in a mid season mindset: like maybe ask yourself "What would I do mid season? Would I already have this trick on lock?" and maybe you'll find it to be muscle memory or some shit and then once it's out of the way you can move on to other tricks, feeling more confident etc...

I always think the same thing, but then opening day rolls around and after 5 runs I have all my tricks back and then some new ones as well.

If you don't want to do old tricks, just do new tricks. That's they way I'm trying to look at things this year. I know I'll go upside down when the snow softens up but for now I'm in no rush. Rails are cooler anyways.
