Aye this my sound racist to the newer members and whatnot and I may get severly 'booed!' but I was just discussing that it would be nice to have a forum where only members that have been around since the recode could post in. Or atleast members who have been around for a certain amount of time. I dunno sorta like how the moderators have their own forum this is similar. People who have been around a while the same feel as the old site. Any ideas?

not that ive been around long, but wouldnt that result in all the original members to stop posting in the other forums, making them dull and gay?

haha, like an 'ns exclusive club'. Open only to those who are invited....it would be completely unknown to all....until you receive a message one day, that you've been asked by the mods to join. lol...it would be kinda cool in a way.

Like 3 or 4 years ago when the k2 forum was big...some of the original members of that forum started one. You could request to join and post your email address. Then they'd email you the address to the forum if you were accepted.

I wonder if they still use it...i lost the address a long time ago.

The mods have their own forum, not as an 'elite' place to talk or anything, but it just allows them to discuss certain moderation thigns and such. For example, if something gets deleted, and a mod doesn't agree with it, they can post it there and talk about whether it should've been deleted or not.

As for the old-timers forum: a couple of us discussed this a while ago and decided against it. We don't want to have an elitist attitude on the site. It's a ski community, not a clique. Also, it would probably take away from the amount the older members post on the regular boards.

I'm not discounting it completely, but right now, I'm not totally supportive of the idea...

Or a 'Donators Only' Forum, that way you'd have to pay to get in, it would be a sweet fund raiser. Have someone spill info everyonce in awhile about all the cool shit in the donators forum and people would be like whoa, i want in, so they would donate and get in and Harvtard would get more flow.
