Practicing rail balance over the summer with no summer setup?

Get a small skate rail and throw down some inline tricks. Being able to balance on a stationary rail doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be able to hit crazy rails in the ski season.

step 1-buy 2 liter soda

2-empty out soda and fill with water, screw cap on tight

3-roll duct tape over the middle

4- grab a blank skate deck and go crazy

seriously endless amounts of fun on a DIY balance board

i slack line and skate board to help my balences

I wish I had more room in my sig for some new brett fisher quotes, because this would definitely be going in there

i got really comfortable doing this over the summer (to the point where i didn't even need to think about it), does that help a lot with rail skills?

Take a straight bar (from the weightroom probably) that can roll around and put it on the ground and balance across it. then do it backwards, change up your position, try doing tricks on it, etc.

Blading/ slack lining. That's what I do. Also blading is fun as balls and you get really comfortable with landings and balance.

It cant be bad..If your real comfortable start messing around with doing swaps, shuvits, and different variations that make you fall. I learned how to do bigspins from the ground up onto it, that took a while to get. You can even attach a thin piece of wood down the middle of your skate deck to make it so you have to balance on another axis too

You started out terrible but now I think you've grown on me

Definitely get yourself a slackline. That is how I maintain balance and core in the offseason. Also either start skating or inline. I longboard as I think it helps maintain that inner flow of skiing.

Today I took the trucks off my skateboard (if you don't have one, visit a skate shop and buy a blank deck, they're pretty inexpensive) and bought a foam roller. Put the skateboard deck on the roller and start practicing! Hope this helped!
