Hi,

Im new to this, and I'v searched for info but cant find anything so here it

goes:

Basically how do you guys practice out of season?

Im from UK, so cant drive to get to snow, thinking indoor slope but this might

only be once a week, with my other sports i practice 3/4 times a week min to

stay on top.

Iv seen the rail work that people set up in the summer-going to try that, but

wonder how do you guys practice other things? I'v heard trampolines are a good

way ? But its so much easier on a trampoline, so think its actually not such a

good way...any ideas?

Thanks for your help,

A

this is what i do and im sure others do to, buy some astro turf(fake grass) and put it on as semi steep hill or a drop in will work better and put water and soap on it build a box, and kicker to get on the box and u can skkiii also trampolins work great for pacticing spins/flips

tramp training is good. gets you used to being inverted, plus just core strength and leg muscles

fruitbooting, summer camps, water ramps, ns, summer jibs, tramping, diving boards, and even bringing you skis on your trampoline.
if you do all those and keep yourself in shape your in good shape, butt most importantly have fun with it man.

if ur near lake water jumps, but without bubbles that can mess up ur knees and stuff theres not a lot u can do for jumps but maybe little jumps on blades but its not quite the same

listen to this kid, he has a top rated movie of a single hit on his summer set-up. (no sarcasm for those who care) lol BTW that was a sick pretzel

its all about the mental practice, sit in a candle lit room and listen to ratat for maximum off season preperation

tramps, running, my backyard setup, pracitcing by using the high dives at a pool, and skating or fruit booting are what keep me sane and on top

im not sure wether taping weights to your ankles is a good idea, youll probably get waterknees because it pulls on your legg....
best training: tramp, backyard set-up, slackline, biking
other related sports: rockclimbing (good for overall strength en fear of heights)swimming is good for everything+no injuriesetc....

Sorry for bumping this up, but got a question about

trampoline practice and practice at plastic(dendex/snowflex/artifical slopes).

After all the info you guys told me, tramp practice is pretty much all I have available

for spins and flips.

The thing is i realised when im spinning and flipping on the tramp im only

getting a foot or so off the ground. Obviously at parks its going to be at least

double that. So should i try and jump higher on the tram before i spin/flip or

does this not matter too much?

The other thing, I live close to a plastic slope but so far havent used it for

spins/flips becuase it makes me ski differently (as it is so much slower than

snow) and also have broken bones there

lol, dont wana loose confidence by falling and injuring.

Just wondering if other people use plastic ( artifial dendex/snowflex) slopes

to practice, and how effective its been.

Thanks for the help
