What kind of powder boards should I think about i'm lookin for something buttery but not to buttery. What about the CR Johnson model?
 
You should definitely get a ski that's stiff, but not too stiff, fat, but not too fat, long but not too long, and rockered, but not too rockered.
 
first off who ever said next years SFB's is retarded, they aren't making those next year... how big do u want the waist? if u want the 100-115 then the ObSETed '10 is what i have and its got just the right amount of rocker, but its pretty soft and buttery, the armada jj's are amazing everywhere and the 185 would be the perfect size for u because they ski short, the elf shoe makes spining almost to easy, the rocker is dope for presses and butters, and the down cambered part of the ski is the stiffest middle out of all big skis, if ur looking for some big guns(115+) then next years ObSethed are 117 under waist with more rocker than this year, this years hellbents are super rocker, soft, and a dream in powder both switch and regular, next years hellbents are 132 under waist and are good if u ski in AK, My favorite pow slayer has got to be the ARG, it may be 133 under waist but since its got elf shoe the widest part of tip is only 135 and the tails is 134 which makes it super nimble and the massive rocker gives them a surfy fell that is so fun, the swing weight is low because of the super light core, smaller edges, and elf shoe... the 185 would be the perfect size for u because they ski short.... disclaimer on the K2's though the topsheets get ripped up, and the Armada have cap construction so they are super durable also the ep pros are pretty sick but they are probably to soft for what u want, how much pow r u skiing?
 
i think your the retard sfb will be maid next year elizabeths wont, obsetheds are more of a ak slayer than hellbents. hellbents are soft as a wet piece of cardboard. Arg's have reverse sidecut and wont be fun for anything except bottomless pow.

I would suggest SFB, Atomic bechetlers, Surface new life, Surface one life

i dont mean soft i mean you can still butter nicely on rockerd skis like ll2 have a jibby feel but are still pretty stiff

ya sorry i meant the elizabeths no the sfbs. the obsethed and hellbents are both super super buttery, the hellbents are that much sfter than the obsetheds, and the sfbs are getting rocker and the new line thin tip, but the flex is the same, next years sfbs are very similiar to the obsetheds... also the args are amazing, have you ever fealt how light they are?? the swing weight is super low, the massive rocker kills pow, and the tip and tail arent theat big so they are nimble... the atomic bechetlers are made in the same factory as all armada skis, you did notice that the atomics have an elf shoe type blueprints? they got that from the ARG, and the args hav great pop also
